What kinds of bookings there are
The kind isn't set by a separate field but by a combination of flags.
| Kind | What defines it | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | None of the special flags is set | A rental to a client |
| Technical | The “technical” flag | Repair, relocation, downtime; excluded from rental counters |
| Demo | The “demo” flag | Training and demonstration; not counted in reports |
| Partner | A partner owner is filled in | The vehicle belongs to a partner, and settlements with them are kept separately |
Creation source
Each booking records where it came from — for example, one created by an employee is marked accordingly. This lets you tell manually entered bookings from those that came in from outside and sort out disputes.
Tip
The flags are independent: a technical booking can also belong to a partner's vehicle. Look at the combination rather than searching for a single “type.”
How to set the kind
- Open booking creation.
- Turn on the “Technical” toggle if this is an internal booking — see technical booking.
- A booking becomes a partner booking automatically when a partner's vehicle is selected.
- Save.
The kind is set at creation
There is no “Technical” toggle in the edit form. If you made a mistake at creation, you'll have to create the booking again.
Demo can't be set manually
Only records created together with the account carry this flag. It can't be turned on or off in the form: demo records are removed all at once, with a single button in the company settings — see first day.
