How to open a booking card

The card is the workspace for a single booking: handover, payment, return, and documents all start from it.

If client inquiries are linked to the booking, the linked leads menu on the card lets you open them and return to the original inquiry.

Booking under a rent-to-own contract

A booking marked “Buyout” has a contract panel instead of the price block. While the contract is active, the regular payment row and return are unavailable. After the contract ends or is terminated, the payment row returns; return is available if the vehicle is still rented. The contract panel remains, and extensions and deletion are still unavailable. Learn more about how such a booking differs from a regular one.

Steps

  1. Find the booking in the list, on the occupancy calendar, or in the daily plan.
  2. Open it: in the list, double-click the row or click the number; on the calendar, double-click the bar.

Tip

If you can't find the booking, check the list scope. Active, inactive, and archive are three different sets, and a completed booking won't show up among the active ones.

Payment block

When the rental payment, price, and duration are positive, the block shows how many paid days, hours, weeks, or months the payment covers, depending on the booking mode. Technical bookings have no such indicator. This shows how far the rental is covered by the money received.

Tip

A payment can be negative — this is how refunds are recorded. A negative line in the payments list is not an error.

The payments list can be collapsed and exported as a spreadsheet.

Actions depend on the state

The set of available actions changes along with the booking state: until the vehicle is handed over, there is no return; after it is returned, there is no handover.

If you don't see the action you need, start by checking the booking state — but some actions are also restricted by role: handover parameters and deletion are not available to everyone.

Extensions

Company employees can delete the last extension if it was made manually. The last automatic extension can't be deleted this way. Deleting free days or hours triggers a recalculation of the rental.
