How to set rental duration ranges

Ranges determine which rate applies for which rental duration. This is a company setting shared by the whole fleet; the rates themselves are set for each vehicle separately.

Steps

  1. Open the company settings.
  2. Find the rental duration ranges.
  3. Set the range starts — the system calculates the ends itself, so there will be no gaps or overlaps by design.
  4. Save.
  5. Set the rates for each range in the vehicle cards — the ranges themselves don't contain prices.

How they are set

A range is written as a “from – to” pair, for example 1 - 3, 4 - 7, 8 - 30.

There are no gaps or overlaps

The system builds the boundaries from the starts of the specified ranges, and the end of each one is the day before the next one starts. So a gap or an overlap is impossible by design: even if overlapping pairs are entered, the result is continuous.

If the saved entry differs from the canonical form, the system shows this explicitly and doesn't silently rewrite it — so you can see how it interpreted your input.

Days past the last range

A separate N+ rate applies to rentals longer than the last range. If N+ is not set in the price row, the last rate in that row is used.

If the price of a long rental looks odd

Check the last range rate and the N+ rate in the relevant price row. If N+ is not set, the system uses the last rate in the row.
