What the client sees in their personal account
The personal account is a separate page at an external address. The client opens it via a link and sees their booking without logging into the system.
How to get the link
Copy the link from the booking card using the “Link to client personal account page” icon next to the client’s name. The system gets the complete link from the server.
Important
You can copy the link only if the booking’s last name contains at least one letter. The link is built from the last name recorded in the booking and its number. If the last name is empty or contains only numbers and symbols, the icon stays visible but disabled. The explanation “The booking has no last name — the client won't be able to sign in” appears next to it. Correct the last name in the booking and try copying again.
Copy the link from the system rather than assembling it by hand — the account address is filled in automatically.
The link must not be published
The link itself is the login to the account: there's no password and no confirmation. Whoever gets the link sees the booking and its details.
Hence the rule: send the link personally to the client, in your conversation with them. Don't post it in group chats or paste it into documents that go to third parties.
What the link opens
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| Booking | Rental terms, vehicle, dates, and the “How the total is made up” block with a “Show full breakdown” button; the breakdown shows charges, the deposit, and any free hours or days |
| Payments and extensions | History of charges and payments |
| Documents | The “Documents” block: each document’s status and, when available, a “Sign” or “Download” button |
| Management | Client balance — for periodic rentals |
If there have been no payments on the booking yet, the payments section shows that there are none — this isn't a loading error.
Payment
The payment methods in the account depend on what the company has connected: the client sees only the methods available to it. If the company has Stripe connected, the client tops up the balance with a bank card right from the account, using the “Top up by card” button. A card can't be saved to the account for future charges.
Logging in without the link
The client can also log in from the general account page by entering the booking number and the last name recorded in it. These are the same two values the link is built from.
Important
Both values are required. A booking number alone isn't enough: without the last name the account won't open.
In the account header, the client can contact the rental company by phone or email if these contact details are filled in for the company.
How to give the client access
- Check the last name recorded in the booking. The link cannot be copied if it is empty or contains no letters.
- Open the booking card.
- Copy the link with the chain icon next to the client's name.
- Send it personally to the client, in your conversation with them.
If the link gets lost, the client can log in from the general account page: the same last name and booking number. Use the last name recorded in the booking, not the last name in the client card or an additional driver’s details.
