How to add an employee
Steps
- Open the employees section.
- Start adding an employee.
- Fill in the form — the required fields are listed below.
- Register the employee.
- Open their card and assign a role.
Only the “Main Administrator”, “Branch manager”, and “Manager” roles can create employees and agents.
The fifth step is the one most often skipped
The add form has no role field: a new employee is created with the “Employee” role. Until a role is assigned in the card, the person sees the system as a regular employee, even if you meant to add them as a branch manager.
More details — what roles there are.
Required fields
They are marked with an asterisk, and the form won't submit without them:
- first name;
- last name;
- nickname;
- phone;
- email.
The middle name is optional.
What happens after registration
The employee's login is their email, and the password is sent there as well. So the address must be real and working: access recovery will also go to it if the password is forgotten.
The employee can change the password themselves, through email recovery.
If an employee leaves
Dismissal does not delete the employee: access is closed, but the data remains. Their payments, bookings and shifts stay where they are and continue to count in reports.
Tip
So there's no need to delete a dismissed employee “to keep them out of the way”. If the person comes back, access is turned back on, and the history stays connected.
If adding doesn't go through
The number of employees is limited by the subscription plan. If you try to add more than the paid number of seats, a window appears offering to upgrade the subscription plan — this is not a form error or a malfunction.
Tip
Before upgrading the subscription plan, it's worth checking the list: employees who no longer work for you may be taking up seats.
